Our Story

At Chidswell Farm Shop, good food starts with honest beginnings. Our family run farm has been part of the Dewsbury community since 1953. For over 70 years, we’ve taken pride in producing and selling food the traditional way, fresh from the land, prepared with care, and served with a smile.


From the very beginning, our values have remained the same: quality, transparency, and trust. That’s why generations of local families have shopped with us and why new customers keep coming back. Our Meat is Reared Right Here on the Farm

We rear all of the meat we sell and always have. From field to fork, we take care of every step. That means we can ensure our livestock are well looked after, properly fed, and never rushed. 

Livestock Raised With Care and Quality in Mind

Our livestock is raised with care, plenty of space, and respect for their wellbeing. We believe that how livestock is treated shows in the quality of the food and we never cut corners. It’s farming done properly.
